Mr. Johnson has extensive criminal and business law
experience. He attended Shippensburg University,
receiving a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in
1989. He also attended the University of Maryland
School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in
1992. Mr. Johnson earned an MBA from John Hopkins
University in May 2000. After law school, Mr. Johnson
clerked from the Honorable J. James McKenna in
Montgomery County Circuit Court. After clerking, he
received a position with
Prince
George's County State's Attorney's Office as an
Assistant
State's Attorney. As a prosecutor, Mr. Johnson,
personally went
to trial on over three hundred criminal and traffic
offenses.
Afterwards, Mr. Johnson joined
a prestigious D.C. law
firm as
an associate attorney
where
Mr. Johnson practiced
business litigation
and criminal defense
in the state and federal courts of Maryland, Virginia,
and the District of Columbia.
During the period 1995-2000, Mr. Johnson also served in
the Army JAG Corps Reserves. In the spring of 2000,
Bruce A. Johnson, Jr., LLC was established to provide
the highest quality trial and litigation services. To
date, Mr. Johnson has personally
handled
nearly one
hundred (100)
jury trials and well over
five
hundred (500)
bench trials.

staff of three (3) legal assistants and one associate
attorney.
Matthew
Lamp
Matthew Lamp joined the
Law Offices of Bruce A. Johnson, Jr. in May of 2011
after working as a Law Clerk at Bensinger & Associates,
a law firm located in Louisville, KY. As a Law Clerk,
Mr. Lamp excelled at drafting motions and pleadings.
In addition to his working
as a Law Clerk, Mr. Lamp volunteered with the Allegany
County State’s Attorney’s Office located in Cumberland,
Maryland in 2010-2011 and the Commonwealth Attorney’s
Office located in Louisville, Kentucky in 2009. In these
positions he conducted a broad range of research, tried
several DUI cases, traffic cases and minor drug cases
within the District Court systems. Mr. Lamp’s most
notable case is the
Commonwealth of Kentucky
v.
David Jason Stinson
where he volunteered with the Commonwealth Attorney’s
Office, and assisted in the prosecution of David Jason
Stinson, a high-school football coach who was accused of
reckless homicide in the death of one of his teams
players.
Matthew Lamp received his
J.D. in 2009 from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School
located in Lansing, MI and graduated Magna Cum Laude in
2006 from Frostburg State University where he earned two
Bachelors Degrees in Law and Society and Political
Science.
Prior to entering Law
School, Mr. Lamp worked as a Student Aide and Researcher
in the Department of Political Science at Frostburg
State University where he assisted Professor Scott
Johnson. Mr. Lamb’s most notable work during this
period of time is his research and presentation of
The Press Conference of President John F. Kennedy: A
Personality Analysis.
Mr. Lamp is admitted to
practice in Maryland and Kentucky.
Shea L.
Hoxie
Shea Hoxie Joined the Law
Offices of Bruce Johnson, LLC in May of 2011. Mr. Hoxie
earned his Juris Doctorate in 2010 from the University
of Baltimore, School of Law located in Maryland. He
earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and
Politics as well as Criminology and Criminal
Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park in
2006.
While a law student Mr.
Hoxie was a Fellow at the Stephen L. Snyder Center for
Litigation Skills, on the AAJ Student Trial Advocacy
Competition team and the ABA Negotiation Competition
team. He also was President of the Criminal Law
Association and a member of the Student Bar
Association.
During law school Mr.
Hoxie interned with the Office of Baltimore City State’s
Attorney, the Maryland Court of Special Appeals,
Montgomery County Circuit Court and Warnken, LLC.
Shea Hoxie is admitted to
practice in the State Maryland, and member of the
Maryland State Bar Association and the American Bar
Association. He concentrates his practice in Criminal
and Traffic Defense, Criminal Appeals and General Civil
Litigation.
Mr. Hoxie is fluent in
American Sign Language and has over a decade of
experience as a Sign Language Interpreter.
